Meet Samuel

As a Family Law Attorney, I have made it my mission to help the people of East Tennessee through some of the most stressful times of their lives. For most people, the legal system can be confusing and even frightening. I became an attorney specifically to provide personalized care to my clients when they need it most.

As a Knoxville, Tennessee native I have a deep sense of commitment to the people of East Tennessee. Before I was an attorney, I was a member of the United States Army as an Airborne Ranger with the 75th Ranger Regiment. While in the Army I deployed to Iraq twice, and Afghanistan twice, in support of the Global War on Terrorism. One thing I learned from my time overseas is that when you are facing a problem it is often best to face it head on. After my time in the military was over, I decided to return to East Tennessee and fight for the people in my community.

Family Law can be stressful and frightening. You need a dedicated attorney who will stand up for your rights, and the rights of your family. When you are ready to take the next step call me, Samuel B. Tipton, Attorney at Law, to schedule a free consultation at by calling or texting us at 865-268-6974 (that’s right we text).

Meet Tori

Tori Stricklan joined Samuel B. Tipton Law in April 2020 as his Paralegal/Legal Assistant. She provides our Family Law Practice Group with solid and reliable assistance and serves as a listening ear to our clients. In addition to Family Law, Tori has also had experience with Probate/Estate Planning, Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Civil Rights, SocialSecurity/Disability, and Criminal Law.

Family law clients are often faced with a variety of emotional situations. Tori presents a calm, helpful and supportive demeanor as she handles their immediate needs, while patiently explaining procedures. While our clients experience open and frequent communication with their attorney, Tori is an additional liaison between the clients and our firm. She is often looked at as the initial contact with our clients. She is also relied upon for drafting necessary documents, meeting directly with the clients, scheduling appointments and court appearances, as well as keeping the client files organized.

Tori graduated from Pellissippi State Community College in 2014 with an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies. She has 7 years of experience as a paralegal/legal assistant, which has provided her with exposure to many areas of law, and she feels it is important to continually increase her knowledge, not only in the legal field, but also in other areas that will enhance her ability to serve clients.

Tori has two children ages 15 and 12, who inspire her to better serve our family law clients. She is dedicated to assisting clients in their time of need. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and friends, and watching her children at the ball field.
